My name is Andrew Saowapon,​
I am a Canadian/Thai citizen, born and raised in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I completed my elementary and high school years at Chiang Mai International School where I graduated part of the Class of 2016.
I completed my certifications in Traditional Thai Massage in 2018 at Wat Phra Chetuphon, a branch of Watpo Thai Traditional Medical and Massage School located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I consider massage a hobby of mine and is a service I enjoy to provide.
I am currently continuing my education at the University of British Columbia Okanagan, in my 3rd year majoring in Human Kinetics.
I aim to provide the Okanagan with the best experience of Thai culture through techniques of Traditional Thai Massage.
Wat phra chetuphon (Watpo)
Watpo also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, became the centre for Thai Art and Knowledge after the completion of the restoration which began in 1782 during King Rama 1st and King Rama 3rd reigns. It was here that knowledge of Thai traditional medicine and massage were gathered from ancestors for generations to come (e.g., herbal drug recipes, diagnosis & treatment of general ailments, baby illness & healing methods, etc.).
Watpo Thai Traditional Medical and Massage School was later opened in 1955. Watpo is Thailand's first "open" university and the first Thai medical school under the approval of the Thai Ministry of Education.
Watpo TTM is recognized world wide as the original school of Thai Traditional Massage Treatment and Training which is also known as Watpo massage. Thai and foreign graduates from Watpo Thai Traditional Massage School enter into the spa business all over the world.
